Terms of use
Last updated October 26, 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses BayMap (the "site"), including drivers, fleets and repair shops. The site is run by [business legal name], a [state][LLC] ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What the site does
BayMap helps people find independent truck repair, towing and roadside service providers, and offers AI-generated repair information. We are a directory. We don't perform repairs, and we aren't a party to any agreement between you and a shop.
Shop listings
Listing details such as hours, services, makes, labor rates and photos come from the shops. We try to keep them accurate but can't guarantee they are correct, current or complete. Confirm details with the shop before you rely on them.
Listing a shop, ranking it or showing a badge doesn't mean we endorse it, inspect its work or guarantee its prices. You choose a shop at your own risk.
Any price, estimate, warranty or dispute about a repair is between you and the shop.
Repair help (AI)
Repair help answers are created by artificial intelligence and may be wrong or incomplete. They are general information, not professional instructions. Please read the before using them.
For shops
You may list only a business you own or are authorized to manage, and the information you give must be true and kept up to date.
You give us permission to display your business name, logo, photos and listing details on the site and in our marketing of the site.
If you choose paid services, such as per-call pricing, the price, what counts as a billable call, monthly spending caps, billing and how to dispute a charge are set out in a separate shop agreement you accept before you're charged.
We may edit, hide or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading or breaks these terms.
What you share with us
When you submit content, such as repair questions, photos, fixes, reviews or listing details, you keep ownership of it. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, display, adapt and share it to run and improve the site. That includes adding shop-submitted fixes, with personal details removed, to the repair library. Only submit content you have the right to share. Don't upload material copied from manufacturer service manuals or paid service information.
Things you may not do
Post false listings, fake reviews or misleading information.
Pretend to be someone else or a business you don't represent.
Scrape, copy or resell the directory, or use bots to search it or place calls.
Interfere with the site's security or try to get around call tracking or billing.
Use the site to harass anyone, send spam or break the law.
Other services
The site uses outside services such as maps, phone call tracking, payment processing and AI. Links to other websites or apps, such as directions in a maps app, are provided for convenience. We aren't responsible for those services or websites.
Trademarks
Manufacturer and brand names, such as Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, Mack, International, Cummins, Detroit and PACCAR, belong to their owners. They are used only to describe the vehicles and engines a shop works on. BayMap is not affiliated with or endorsed by these companies.
No warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that the site will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, downtime, vehicle damage or injury arising from your use of the site, any listing, any shop's work or any repair information. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
Your responsibility
You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if a claim is brought against us because of content you submitted, your misuse of the site or your breaking these terms.
Ending access
We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or harms the site, its users or shops. You can stop using the site at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top, and for important changes we'll give notice on the site or by email. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

Privacy policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
This policy explains what information BayMap collects, how we use it and the choices you have. "We" means [business legal name].
Information you give us
Searches and repair questions, including truck details you enter such as make, model, year, engine, mileage and fault codes, and any photos you attach.
Shop sign-ups: business name, contact name and role, phone, email, address, hours, services, labor rate and notes.
Messages you send us, such as support requests or problem reports.
Payment details for shops using paid services. These are collected and stored by our payment processor. We don't store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
Location, only if you allow it in your browser. We use it to show shops near you and, when you ask for directions, to plan a truck route. While a route is running, your phone shares your location as you drive so the directions can follow you and reroute. We don't keep a history of where you've been. You can turn it off anytime in your browser settings.
Truck details for directions, such as height, weight, length, axles, trailers and hazmat. These are saved only in your browser on your device.
Calls through the site. When you tap Call now, the call goes through a tracking number. We record the caller's phone number, the time and length of the call, and which shop was called, to measure results and bill shops. [If calls are recorded, a notice plays at the start of each call.]
Usage and device information, such as pages viewed, buttons tapped, searches that found no shop, browser type and approximate area based on your IP address.
Cookies and browser storage, used to keep the site working and to remember things like your past repair chats on your device.
How we use information
To show shops, run searches and answer repair questions.
To connect calls to shops, show shops their call history and bill them.
To review and publish shop listings and contact shops about them.
To keep the site safe and prevent fraud, spam and fake listings.
To understand how the site is used and improve it, including the repair library.
To follow the law.
How information is shared
With shops, when you call one, it sees your phone number like any phone call. Shops see their own call history.
With service providers that help run the site, such as hosting, database, maps, call tracking, email, payments and AI providers. Repair questions, truck details and photos are sent to an AI provider to generate answers. To plan truck routes, your starting point, the shop's location and your truck details are sent to our route provider, HERE Technologies. These providers may use the information only to provide their services to us.
For legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users, shops or the public.
In a business sale, if BayMap is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
We don't sell your personal information.
Your repair chats
Past repair chats are saved to your account or device so you can come back to them. Only you can see them. You can delete any chat with the trash button. Please don't include personal details, such as names or account numbers, in repair questions.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. For example, call records are kept for billing and dispute periods, and shop listing information is kept while the listing is active. Then it's deleted or made anonymous. [Set specific retention periods.]
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, such as encrypted connections and limited access, to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Turn location off, or never turn it on, in your browser settings.
Delete past repair chats on the repair help page.
Ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we will honor them as required.
Children
The site is meant for adults working in or with the trucking industry. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do. For important changes, we'll give notice on the site.

Disclaimer

In an emergency, call 911. If a truck is disabled in a travel lane, on fire, leaking fuel or hazardous materials, or anyone is hurt, get to safety and call 911 before anything else.
Truck directions
Posted signs and restrictions always come first. Obey every posted height, weight, length, hazmat and no-truck sign and every road closure, even if the route says otherwise. You are responsible for knowing your truck's actual height, weight and length and for operating it safely and legally.
Truck routes are planned by a third-party mapping service (HERE) using the truck size you enter. They are only as accurate as that service's map data and the size you enter. Bridges, restrictions, construction and road closures can change or be missing from the data. A route is not a guarantee that a road, bridge or entrance is clear or legal for your truck.
If the route shows a "Heads up" warning, the service couldn't fully avoid a restriction. Check before you commit to that road.
Drive times, arrival times and distances are estimates. Traffic, weather, closures and stops will change them.
The "Open in Google Maps" option uses car routes, which don't account for truck restrictions.
Don't handle your phone while driving. Federal rules prohibit commercial drivers from holding a mobile phone or using more than a single touch while driving. Set your route and settings before you move, mount the phone, and pull over safely before making changes.
Spoken directions and following your location depend on your phone, browser, GPS and cell signal and may stop or lag, for example when the screen locks or you switch apps. Keep watching the road and signs, not the screen.
To plan routes, your location and truck details are sent to our route service and HERE. See the page.
AI repair help
Repair help answers are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound confident.
Answers are general information for trained technicians. They are not a substitute for manufacturer service information, a qualified technician's judgment or hands-on diagnosis.
Always confirm specifications, torque values, wiring, fluid capacities and procedures in the official OEM service manual or service information system before doing the work.
Never rely on the site for work on safety-critical systems, such as brakes, steering, wheels and tires, or fuel and high-pressure systems, without confirming the procedure in official service information.
Work safely
Chock the wheels, set the parking brake and follow lockout and tagout before working on a truck.
Air brake systems store energy. Drain air and cage spring brakes correctly before working on brake chambers.
Support a raised truck with rated stands, never only a jack.
Watch for hot exhaust and aftertreatment parts, high-pressure fuel, high-voltage systems and pressurized coolant.
Use the right protective equipment and follow your shop's safety rules and OSHA requirements.
Shop listings
Many listings come from public business data (Overture Maps Foundation) and are marked "Unverified" until the shop confirms its details. Unverified listings may be out of date, closed, or describe services a shop doesn't offer, so call to confirm before you go.
Shops are independent businesses. BayMap doesn't employ them, supervise their work or guarantee their prices, hours, workmanship or availability. A "verified" badge means only that we confirmed the specific items it describes, such as the shop's phone number. Confirm details with the shop, get a written estimate and keep your receipts.
Manufacturer names
BayMap is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any truck, engine or parts manufacturer. Brand names are used only to describe vehicles and services.
Use at your own risk
You are responsible for decisions you make based on information from the site. To the fullest extent the law allows, BayMap is not liable for injury, vehicle damage, citations, downtime or other loss resulting from repair information or directions on the site, from listing information, or from work done by any listed shop. See the for details.
Manufacturer support
Manufacturer support lines
Call the maker for roadside help, finding a dealer, warranty and recall questions. Have the VIN or engine serial number ready. They'll usually ask for it first.
Truck makers
Engine makers
Numbers last checked October 26, 2026. They can change, so confirm on the maker's website if a number doesn't work. Lines marked 24/7 are open around the clock. BayMap isn't affiliated with these companies.
